Enugu State Commissioner of Police Condemns Unprofessional Conduct At Hilltop, Nsukka By Nsukka Urban Police Officers.

Enugu State Commissioner of Police, Kanayo Uzuegbu, has addressed the widespread social media reports concerning unprofessional conduct by the police in students residential area known as Hilltop, UNN, in Nsukka L.G.A. He has initiated an immediate investigation and emphasized that officers found guilty will face sanctions.

CP Uzuegbu has called for calm, urging those affected to present evidence for a thorough inquiry. He reasserted his dedication to eradicating unethical behavior and ensuring the protection of citizens’ rights.

The State Police Force PRO, Daniel Ndukwe has encouraged citizens to support the Police Reform Agenda by adhering to the law and promptly reporting any misconduct.

This response comes in the wake of alleged brutality by Nsukka Urban Police officers, who, after stopping a car at Hilltop and requesting devices, resorted to assaulting the occupants when they declined, as captured in the video.

The officers attempting to scatter the crowd, shot their gun, leading to a bystander hit by a stray bullet injuring his nose as depicted in the video.
