Farouq refutes any connection to the purported N37 billion fraud

N37 billion fraud; Hadija Sadiya Farouq, the former Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management, and Social Development, has disassociated herself from Mr. James Okwete. He is currently under investigation by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for suspected financial irregularities.

The anti-graft agency is reportedly investigating Okwete for an alleged N37 billion fraud. Hadija Sadiya Farouq, the former Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management, and Social Development, disclaims any association with Okwete.

In a statement by her media aide, Alexander Udeh, she asserts she neither knows nor has been represented by Okwete. Farouq emphasizes that any attempt to link her to Okwete’s activities is unfounded and malicious. She reaffirms her commitment to defending her actions and programs during her responsible tenure as Minister in Nigeria.
