The period for the sale and registration, including candidates from other countries, spans from January 15, 2024, to February 26, 2024.

Eligibility Criteria for 2024 JAMB Candidates

For UTME, candidates must have five (5) O’Level Credit passes, including English language and mathematics. This serves as the general entry requirement for admission into First Degree, National Diploma (ND), National Innovation Diploma (NID), and Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) programs in various institutions. The eBrochure, containing detailed information, is available to each candidate at authorized CBT centers and JAMB State Offices.

Direct Entry Requirements

Candidates may be eligible for admission through Direct Entry if they meet any of the following criteria:

  1. Attainment of a minimum O’Level credit pass in five (5) SSCE subjects, not exceeding two sittings, with at least two prescribed subjects (for each program or course of study) at the principal or advanced level.
  2. Achievement of two passes in the Advanced-Level Examination of IJMB, Cambridge, JUPEB, or the Institute of Baccalaureate, along with three credit passes in SSSC.
  3. Credit passes in two major subjects in the NCE, accompanied by three other credit passes in the SSSC NTC/NBC, primarily applicable to education and technical programs.
  4. Attainment of a minimum lower credit grade in National Diploma or National Innovation Diploma, coupled with meeting the O’Level requirements.

Direct Entry candidates must provide their JAMB registration numbers through which they gained admission to NCE/NID/Diploma and previous degree programs.

The registration period for Direct Entry candidates will not extend beyond the allocated timeframe for both UTME and Direct Entry registrations.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: We advise applicants not to simultaneously apply for UTME and Direct Entry (DE). If a candidate initially applies through UTME but subsequently acquires DE qualification, we can upgrade the UTME application to DE at no additional cost.

Strictly prohibit obtaining two application documents within the same year.

Engaging in double or multiple registrations is a violation that leads to immediate cancellation and possible legal action.

How to Select an Institution in JAMB

Candidates should be aware that their primary choice may include a university, polytechnic, monotechnic, Innovation Enterprise Institution, Nigerian Defense Academy, or Police Academy.

Important Considerations:

  1. In case of any registration errors, candidates should seek correction from the board instead of obtaining a new application, as such actions may result in sanctions.
  2. Registration must take place exclusively at the designated centers listed on our official website (www.jamb.gov.ng) and posted at JAMB offices nationwide.
  3. The registration process and all activities on candidates’ profiles are under board scrutiny, and violators will face severe penalties. Sharing passwords, profile codes, or security codes with others, including parents, friends, tutorial teachers, or fraudsters, makes the candidate responsible for any unauthorized alterations made by such individuals.
  4. NEVER SHARE YOUR PASSWORD WITH ANYONE, INCLUDING JAMB OFFICIALS.

Step-by-Step Guide to 2024 UTME Registration

Profile Registration

  1. Each candidate must use a unique mobile phone number (SIM) for the registration process. This number serves as the candidate’s unique identification for all interactions with the board.
  2. Send your National Identification Number (NIN) via text (SMS) to either 55019 or 66019 from your personal GSM number. The format should be: “NIN [your 11-digit NIN].” Ensure there is a space between “NIN” and your NIN. Avoid using postpaid or special bundle SIM cards.
  3. The candidate receives a 10-character profile code on the same phone number used for the text message. It is crucial to remember and keep this SIM number for future communication with the board.
  4. Present the profile code at designated points for procurement (banks, MMOs, MFBs, switches, and USSD partners).
  5. Present both the ePIN and profile code at any JAMB-accredited CBT center for the completion of registration.
  6. Biometrics (all ten fingers) and a physical photograph capture are mandatory for completing the registration.
  7. Candidates experiencing biometric challenges can only register at JAMB headquarters in Abuja, with arrangements facilitated through JAMB state offices.

Self-Help for Mistakes or Loss of Profile Code:

Lost Profile Code: To retrieve a lost profile code, send [RESEND] as a text message to 55019 or 66019 from the same mobile number used for registration.

Support Ticket for Issues: Candidates can utilize their registered email address on the board’s website to open a support ticket at support.jamb.gov.ng for any problems related to JAMB procedures. Provide your name, phone number, and details of the issue. Choose a complaint category from a drop-down menu and provide a brief description, attaching supporting documents if available.

NIN-Related Complaints: For NIN-related issues, such as not receiving a response after sending a message to 55019 or 66019 for profile creation or receiving incorrect data, follow the same procedure on the ticketing page. How to Enroll for JAMB Without an NIN Number:

Is it possible to register for JAMB without an NIN number?

Many candidates frequently ask if they can register for JAMB without an NIN number because they have not obtained their NIN numbers.

Due to the time-consuming nature of NIN enrollment, candidates often find themselves waiting for their turn.

If the JAMB registration deadline is rapidly approaching and you haven’t obtained your NIN, a crucial question arises: “How can I register for JAMB without an NIN number?”

Unfortunately, it is not possible to register for JAMB without an NIN number. The JAMB registration process entails sending your NIN and the corresponding number to 55019 to create a profile after linking your SIM.

Without the NIN, creating a JAMB profile becomes impossible, and consequently, JAMB registration cannot proceed. The only recourse is to anticipate a potential extension of the JAMB registration deadline, allowing time to acquire the NIN number for enrollment in JAMB UTME and direct entry.

If you have read through all the provided information, you should now possess the necessary knowledge.
