IGP to form special squad to tackle bandits in FCT

The Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, is gearing up to introduce a Special Intervention Squad (SIS) to address the recent spike in kidnapping, killings, and other violent activities by bandits in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

The IGP mentioned that once launched, the special operations will be deployed across all Area Councils in the nation’s capital. In recent weeks, there have been multiple attacks and kidnappings of residents by gunmen in the territory, as reported by HYPEBLOG9JA MEDIA.

Both President Bola Tinubu and FCT Minister Nyesom Wike have affirmed their dedication to bringing the security situation under control, with further updates to come.
