Singer Simi urges Nigerians to ease the economic hardship on firstborns

Simisola Kosoko, popularly known as Simi, has advised Nigerian families to ease up on their excessive financial demands from firstborns. The singer highlighted that being the eldest does not imply an obligation to meet every family member’s financial needs. Simi, who is a mother herself, expressed concern that constant demands from relatives have led some firstborns to experience panic attacks.

Simi further recommended that firstborns should learn to establish boundaries and say no when it comes to assisting family members. She emphasized that being the firstborn doesn’t mean they should carry the financial burden of everyone. In a post on her social media handle, she advised families to give their firstborns some space, stating that constant demands can lead to panic attacks, and encouraged the eldest siblings to prioritize their peace of mind as well.
