EPL: It was a bit strange – Klopp reacts to Liverpool’s 3-1 defeat at Arsenal

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has conceded that Arsenal were deserving winners in their Premier League encounter on Sunday.

The Reds suffered a 3-1 defeat at the Emirates Stadium, marking their second loss of the season. Bukayo Saka opened the scoring for Arsenal, but Liverpool managed to equalize following a defensive error. However, in the second half, goals from Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard secured the victory for Arsenal.

Speaking to Sky Sports after the match, Klopp said, “Overall, we can acknowledge that Arsenal deserved to take all three points. “The circumstances were somewhat peculiar. Our goal was reminiscent of the cup game. In the cup game, we had even better opportunities. “We scored just before half-time despite not registering a shot on target, which is unusual. We had to adjust in various moments throughout the match.

“We managed to find our way into the game, creating crosses and situations where we came close. However, if you fail to keep the game level, Arsenal can start feeling a bit nervous. “The red card didn’t help our cause, and we had to make adjustments to our approach.”
