The well-known Afrobeats musician from Nigeria, Davido, said that he is pleased of himself simply for having been nominated for the 66th Grammy Awards, which were held recently.

According to HYPEBLOG9JA MEDIA, the Arena in Los Angeles hosted the 2024 Grammy Awards on Sunday.

As all Nigerian nominees were eliminated, Davido, a first-time Grammy nominee, was not successful in winning any of the three categories in which he was nominated.

In his most recent interview with Rolling Stone, the Grammy nominee talked about his rise to fame and said that, despite his father’s passing, he still feels like a legend.

“Merely receiving a nomination makes me feel good about myself. Initially, all I want is for my song to be played on the radio once or twice; nonetheless, it’s incredible and entirely God’s doing that it has reached this level.

“No matter what happens, son, you are still a legend,” my father told me over the phone yesterday. He is a huge fan, so yes,” he remarked.
