The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, or IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, appears in court today to continue his trial for terrorism. The Department of State Services, or DSS, took Kanu before the judge on Monday morning.

The Supreme Court restored Kanu’s case to the Federal High Court in December 2023, allowing the prosecution to continue.

This came about after the Supreme Court overturned the Appeal Court’s decision to clear Kanu of all terrorism-related charges. In light of this, the court set February 8 for the hearing on Nnamdi Kanu terrorism-related accusations.

However, the court later postponed the trial until February 26.
