Nigeria’s welfare; Despite the economic hardships faced by Nigerians, Olawale Edun, the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, believes President Bola Ahmed Tinubu‘s administration prioritizes Nigeria’s welfare above all else.


He predicted that the economy will expand.

He claims that Tinubu’s top objective is still Nigeria’s economic growth.

“We prioritize what is best for Nigeria, not what the IMF, World Bank, or any other foreign organization believes,” he declared.

“With God’s blessing and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s capable guidance, our economy will progress and Nigerians will once more be able to smile.”

According to the National Bureau of Statistics, food inflation shot up to 35.42 percent in January 2024, as reported by the DAILY POST. The cost of life has gone up for Nigerians as a result.

In the meantime, the Central Bank of Nigeria increased interest rates by 400 basis points to 22.75 percent at the Monetary Policy Committee meeting held last month in response to the rising cost of living.
