To free the kidnapped students in Kaduna, the IG sends out a mobile unit

The Kuriga community in Kaduna State’s Chikun Local Government Area has received a mobile police unit’s urgent deployment, per the directive of Inspector General of Police Kayode Egbetokun to rescue the kidnapped students.

Around 280 pupils from the LEA Primary School Kuriga in the Chikun Local Government area of Kaduna state were abducted the week before last, according to HYPEBLOG9JA MEDIA.

In a statement by ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, Egbetokun declared the deployment during his visit with DIG Habu Sani.

He expressed his sympathies to the people and Senator Uba Sani, the governor of Kaduna State, and reaffirmed the NPF’s commitment to ensuring the abducted students’ rescue through the use of both kinetic and non-kinetic means.

“The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun, along with the DIG of the Force Intelligence Department, Habu Sani, the DIG of Operations, Ede Ayuba Ekpeji, the AIG of Police Mobile Force, Yekini Adio Ayokui, and other senior officers, made a visit to the state to assess the situation firsthand following the distressing abduction of school students in Kaduna.”

The IGP reaffirmed the Nigeria Police Force’s commitment to ensure the safe return of kidnapped students and apprehend the perpetrators.

The Kaduna State governor urged ethical journalism during the crisis and pledged support for the deployed mobile police unit.

The Inspector General of Police met with officers at the Police Command, Police College, and during his visit to Kaduna.

“He addressed concerns, assuring of the Force’s commitment to welfare, aiming for a service-driven, competent, people-friendly police institution.”

Egbetokun stressed the importance of upcoming tasks for the Nigeria Police Force, promising careful execution to ensure safety and security.

He urged people to stay calm and cooperate with the police and other security services to resolve current security issues.
