Oba Lekan Balogun, the 42nd Olubadan of Ibadanland, has joined his forefathers.

The Olubadan joined his predecessors at the University College Hospital (UCH) in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo state, according to information obtained by HYPEBLOG9JA MEDIA.

Balogun originated from the Ali-Iwo complex, located in the current local government district of Ibadan North East.

Shortly after being transferred to the medical facility, the monarch breathed his last, according to HYPEBLOG9JA MEDIA.

Prior to taking the throne in 2022, he worked as a politician and a scholar.

The monarch was chosen to serve as the representative for the Oyo Central Senatorial District from 1999 to 2003 while working as a lecturer at Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) in Zaria.

On March 11, 2022, Oba Lekan Balogun—who holds a doctorate in philosophy—was crowned Olubadan.

On January 2, 2022, Oba Saliu Akanmu Adetunji went to be with his ancestors, and he succeeded him.
