A 33kV feeder malfunction causes a blackout in Abuja

blackout; Due to a technical issue with its 33-kilovolt feeder in the Central Area of the country’s capital, parts of Abuja are without power.

Through its official X account, Abuja Electricity Distribution Company revealed this information in a notice.

The AEDC reported that its technical staff is attempting to get the impacted areas’ electrical supply back online.

The Abuja Electricity Distribution Plc (AEDC) Management would like to inform its valued clients of a technical issue with a 33kV feeder located in Central Area, Abuja.

The state partially says, “We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the blackout and appreciate your patience during this time.”

Additionally, the electrical corporation announced that “Kapwa Village, Kapwa Ruga, Legislative Institute, Piwoyi Village, and Back of Dunamis in Abuja” now have power.
