Paris 2024: Banyana Banyana captain will not play against the Super Falcons

Banyana captain; Goalkeeper Andile Dlamini will not be available for South Africa’s 2024 Olympic Games qualifying match against the Nigerian Super Falcons.

Banyana captain, Dlamini has left the team due to a medical condition.

Desiree Ellis, the side’s head coach, will now rely on Kaylin Swart for the two legs.

Based on her outstanding performance at the FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand last year, Swart is a suitable successor for Dlamini.

On Friday, April 5, Nigeria will host the opening leg at Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja.

In Pretoria, the opposite fixture will take place four days later.

A spot in Paris 2024 will be awarded to the overall winners.
