Chairman State IRS; According to Mr. Jerry Adams, Executive Chairman of the Kaduna Internal Revenue Service, the organization is working to raise the state’s internally generated revenue.

Speaking on Wednesday at a dinner hosted for student leaders by Amina Bello, the Senior Special Assistant to the Kaduna State Governor on Students Affairs, Adams said that the organization is collaborating with important parties and has assigned staff and MDAs to achieve the goal of the state becoming independent of federal funding.

“It is now very difficult for us to be able to generate more IGR so that the state can service the desired relevant projects in addition to paying salaries,” he said.

In order to ensure that the state overcomes its formidable obstacles, he urged the people of Kaduna State to collaborate and support government programs.

In the meantime, Ummar Waziri, the governor of Kaduna State’s deputy chief of staff, who was present at the function, stated that the government is working to improve student and teacher welfare in order to support high-quality education.

Ummar clarified that the engagement’s goal was to promote harmony and peace among various society groups by fostering understanding between students and the government, Chairman State IRS.
