NAFDAC has prohibited the sale of Dex Luxury soap in Nigeria

Dex Luxury soap; The sale of Dex Luxury bar soap in Nigeria has been prohibited, as declared by the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration Control, or NAFDAC, on Thursday.

The government clarified that the product’s level of butyphenyl methylpropional, or BMHCA, was the reason for the suspension.

On Thursday, April 11, this was mentioned in a post on the Agency’s X handle.

The substance was banned by the EU due to risks to reproductive systems, fetus health, and skin sensitization.

Importers, distributors, retailers, and consumers should be cautious and vigilant to avoid the sale and use of unlisted products.
