Guidelines for candidates offered provisional admission for the 2023/2024 academic session

The following must be adopted by the candidates on the above list:

1. Candidates are strongly encouraged to upload their O/Level results as soon as possible onto the JAMB Portal using a CBT center that has been approved by the board. They should also make sure that the upload was completed in caps. Please take note that admissions for candidates cannot be completed until their O/Level results have been properly uploaded.

2. In order to be recommended in CAPS, which is the only legitimate way to be admitted, all candidates who were provisionally recommended for admission in courses other than the ones they applied to JAMB (Advert/Shopping or Supplementary) should, as soon as possible, access JAMB CAPS in an accredited CBT Center, change their course from the original courses they applied to JAMB to the courses recommended, print their admission status from CAPS, and drop it to the Admissions Office.

Following compliance with steps 1 through 2, candidates should do the following:

First and foremost, Click “Accept Admission” to accept your admission on CAPS when you visit the JAMB Portal. Without accepting admission on JAMB CAPS, applicants won’t receive a JAMB Admission Letter and would be deemed unadmitted.

1. You can generate and download a Payment Invoice with a Remitta number by visiting the University of Nigeria website (unn.edu.ng) or portal (unnportal.edu.ng) and entering your JAMB Registration number. This will allow you to make payments at any Commercial Bank, including UNN Microfinance Bank.

Secondly, The acceptance fee for candidates is Thirty Thousand Naira Only (N30, 000.00), which must be paid with the Payment Invoice. Get a confirmation slip at the bank with your confirmation number and invoice number on it, and make sure the invoice number is entered correctly.

Return to UNN’s website, enter your invoice, confirmation, and JAMB registration numbers to log in to the portal. Then print your Admission slip and complete the Acceptance Form online. Follow instructions on the website for additional fee payments and registration.
Candidates must understand that this admission is provisional. Finally, If at any point in the future, including during the final year, it is discovered that a candidate does not meet the minimum requirements set by the University Senate and published in the JAMB Brochure for their chosen course, the admission offer will be revoked.
