FA Cup replays have been scrapped

FA Cup replays: The Football Association, or FA, officially announced that the FA Cup would no longer feature first-round proper matches beginning with the upcoming season.

In an effort to improve the competition, the Premier League and the FA have come to this agreement.

There will be at least six seasons of the new format.

Additionally, it will guarantee that all games—aside from the fourth round, which has a window of Friday through Wednesday—take place on weekends.

There will be no Premier League football during the designated exclusivity times for the fourth, fifth, and quarterfinal rounds.

On the Saturday of the Premier League’s last weekend, there will also be an FA Cup final.
