GWR: Davido supports Nigerian chess master Tunde Onakoya

Davido supports Nigerian chess; Afrobeats musician Davido visited Times Square in New York on Thursday in support of Nigerian chess master Tunde Onakoya, who is attempting to break the record for the longest chess marathon set by the Guinness World Record.

My apologies, it is actually 21 words. Let me adjust it:

April 17, Onakoya started his bid to break the Guinness World Record for the longest chess marathon, currently at 58 hours.”

Davido graced the occasion to provide his fellow countryman moral support. Davido most recently sold out Madison Square Garden in famous New York.

The singer and the happy chess master were seen dancing and hugging in videos that went viral on social media.

The chess marathon in Onakoya is set to conclude today, April 19.

Adekunle Gold supported the chess master earlier by donating money for live streaming during the event on Wednesday.

In every meeting, including against Shawn Martinez, National Chess Master of New York, Onakoya has emerged victorious thus far.
