Nigerian government puts ex-Kogi governor Yahaya Bello on watchlist

Yahaya Bello on watchlist; Yahaya Bello, the governor of Kogi state in the near past, is now under observation by the federal government.

Nigeria’s NIS instructed to apprehend ex-Kogi governor Yahaya Bello at all entry and exit points, notifying security agencies.

Also, Kemi Nanna Nandap, the Comptroller General of Immigration Service, made this revelation in a memo.

The letter was sent to the Police Inspector General, DSS Director General, and NIA Director General for action.

Bello’s foreign passport data were contained in the memo signed by ACI DS Umar.

“I’m informing you that the individual mentioned has been placed on a watchlist,” part of the text conveyed.

It is sufficient to state that, according to a letter dated April 18, 2024, with reference number CR; 3000/EFCC/LS/EGCS.1/TE/V1/279, the subject is being prosecuted before the Federal High Court Abuja for conspiracy, breach of trust, and money laundering.
