Insecurity: Academic Activities Suspended at Plateau State University

Academic Activities Suspended; The death of a second-year student at Plateau University in Bokkos has prompted the administration to halt classes for ten days.

The institution’s registrar, Mr. Yakubu Ayuba, said this in a statement on Saturday in Jos.

“Gunmen killed student Dading Jordan in Chikam near the university Thursday night, reports HYPEBLOG9JA MEDIA.”

According to Ayuba, the university had already announced a two-day period of mourning in the student’s honor.

University management closes for 10 days from April 19 following tragic events at Plateau University, Bokkos, and nearby villages.

“The purpose of this decision is to lessen human danger to the university community and to allow the security situation to improve.

He declared, “Therefore, the current first semester exams are hereby suspended and will resume on Thursday, May 2.”

According to the registrar, buses have been supplied to transport any stranded students from the university to Barkin Ladi.
