Binance: Anjarawalla arrested in Kenya, Nigerian Government seeks extradition

Anjarawalla Nadeem, a Binance executive on the run after escaping from jail in Nigeria, has been taken into custody by the Kenya Police Service.

There are hints that he may be extradited to Nigeria this week by the International Police Organization, or INTERPOL.

HYPEBLOG9JA MEDIA was informed Monday by an anonymous EFCC source about Anjarawalla’s arrest in Kenya and the extradition request.

“The Kenya Police Service apprehended Anjarawalla in Kenya based on information provided by the International Police Organization.” The source stated that Nigeria has begun discussions with INTERPOL regarding his extradition.

Also, Anjarawalla, who fled from lawful custody in Nigeria, was discovered in Kenya, according to HYPEBLOG9JA MEDIA.

EFCC, with INTERPOL, US, UK, Northern Ireland, and Kenyan authorities, aims to extradite Anjarwalla, as stated by EFCC Chairman Olukuyede.

The Commission had levied a five-count accusation against Tigran Gambaryan, Anjarwalla, and Binance Holdings Limited, the company’s executives, alleging currency speculating, money laundering, and tax evasion.

On Thursday, April 4, 2024, EFCC arraigned Binance and the two executives.

Remember that on March 22, Anjarwalla broke free from prison and has been on the run ever since.
