FG Slashes Electricity Tariffs for ‘Brand A’ Customers

The Federal Government has reduced electricity tariffs for customers in the ‘Brand A’ category.

Electricity Tariffs; The electricity rate for Band A users has been lowered by the federal government.

NERC mandated N225/Kwh tariff for consumers receiving a minimum of 20 hours of daily electricity supply.

However, Band A consumers must now pay N206.80/Kwh as per the approved review.

“Please be informed of the downward tariff review of our Band A feeders from N225/kwh to N206.80/kwh effective May 6, 2024, with guaranteed availability of 20–24 hours of supply daily,” Ikeja Electric wrote in a notice to its customers on Monday.

There has been no change to the rates for Bands B, C, D, and E.
