Poppy, a free spirited travel writer in NYC who feels stuck in a rut, and Alex, a reserved, routine oriented teacher living in their small hometown of Linfield, Ohio. Two years prior to the “present,” a disastrous trip to Tuscany led to a falling out, and the two haven’t spoken since. Desperate to fix the only thing that ever made her truly happy, Poppy reaches out to Alex. She convinces him to go on one last trip his younger brother David’s wedding in Barcelona.
