Rampage (2018) is a science fiction action film directed by Brad Peyton and loosely based on the 1986 arcade game by Midway Games. The story centers on Davis Okoye (Dwayne Johnson), a primatologist and former Special Forces soldier, who shares a unique bond with George, an extraordinarily intelligent albino silverback gorilla. When a rogue genetic experiment conducted by the corporation Energyne goes awry, George is exposed to a pathogen that causes him to grow to an enormous size and become increasingly aggressive. Soon, other animals—a wolf named Ralph and a crocodile named Lizzie—are also mutated by the same pathogen, leading to widespread destruction.
