In the aftermath of World War II, in Soviet-occupied Karelia, the indestructible Finnish survivor Aatami Korpi (Jorma Tommila) returns to the ruins of his family home, brutally destroyed and his loved ones murdered by the Red Army. Methodically dismantling the house beam by beam, he loads the materials onto a truck, determined to transport and rebuild it elsewhere as a tribute to his lost family.

Peace proves fleeting when the ruthless Soviet commander Igor Draganov (Stephen Lang)—the man responsible for the killings—discovers Korpi's presence and vows to eliminate him once and for all. This ignites a relentless, high-speed cross-country chase across devastated landscapes, packed with explosive vehicular mayhem, inventive brutality, over-the-top kills, and improbable feats of survival. Divided into chapters like the original, the film amplifies the one-man-army vengeance saga with deeper emotional stakes, a formidable antagonist, dark humor, and physics-defying action inspired by Mad Max: Fury Road, Looney Tunes, and silent-era comedy.
