On the run in a stolen unmarked police car, con artist and fixer Teddy Murretto finds himself stranded near a Nevada casino. Desperate for protection from relentless pursuers, he starts a fight outside the casino and sucker-punches rookie cop Valerie Young, ensuring she arrests him. But danger follows him into the small-town jail when deadly hitman Bob Viddick deliberately gets himself locked up by faking drunkenness and crashing into Murretto’s abandoned car, now under investigation by two state troopers.
