Popular Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has publicly claimed that she has been subjected to domestic violence in her marriage.
The mother of two revealed that the situation in her husband’s household has become increasingly intolerable. Regina Daniels is married to Senator Ned Nwoko, the Delta North representative in Nigeria’s National Assembly.
In a viral video circulating online, the actress accused Nwoko of sending men to physically assault her. The footage shows Daniels in a tense moment, visibly distressed and raising her voice about the alleged attack.
During the incident, attempts were made to calm her as she was seated on the floor while water was poured over her head.
Regina Daniels stated, “Ned sent thugs. In Ned Nwoko’s house, I am nothing, but in my own house, I am a queen. I can’t take the violence anymore; it’s too much.”
Regina married Nwoko when she was still in her late teens, while he was 60 years old. Their marriage, marked by a 40-year age difference, has long been a topic of public discussion in Nigeria and beyond.
